Youth Development

The Workforce Development Division was created in 1975 in response to an acute need for skilled workers  with the primary mission to provide advanced services, skill upgrades, and employment related resources to individuals who are motivated to advance their careers.  

Adult Literacy

The Adult Literacy Program provides free classes held in the mornings, afternoons and evenings in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens to help adult students learn the necessary skills for communication and professional development. The program provides:

Family Resource Center

Assists in improving the quality of life and standard of living for low-income family’s residents with the fulfillment of basic needs. The FDP offers crisis intervention programming to residents in extreme need by providing emergency assistance, specifically utility, rental, holiday and food assistance.
